More Ways to Give

Stock Donations

Most people think of cash when they consider making a charitable contribution, but a gift of shares of stock or mutual funds (securities) may be a wiser choice. Your securities can deliver significant tax advantages over a cash donation, allowing you to avoid a capital gain which will ultimately lower the cost to you and increase the donation to help us eliminate lung disease. Contact your tax advisor for more details. Learn more about stock donations here.

Employee Giving

Employee giving (also called workplace giving), along with employee volunteering are vital elements of an organization’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts. There are many methods, but the easiest being payroll donations where funds are deducted from the employee’s paycheck and setup as a one-time or recurring donation to Breathe New Hampshire. Many companies will match employee donations up to a certain amount or percentage, so talk to your employer about your options.

Matching Gifts

Many employers will either match their employees’ donations to non-profit organizations or distribute cash grants to organizations with whom their employees volunteer. To find out if you can easily double your contributions to Breathe New Hampshire, contact your employer's Human Resources Department and ask if there is a matching gifts policy in place.
