Program Coordinator

Location: Manchester, NH — Hybrid schedule available
Primary Service Area: Strafford County and surrounding communities
Reports to: Co-President & CEO
Schedule: Part-time, up to 20–30 hours per week
Compensation: $24/hour
Schedule Requirements: Occasional evenings and weekends


About the Position

The Program Coordinator coordinates and delivers Breathe New Hampshire's educational and public health programs, with a primary focus on Strafford County and surrounding communities.

This position builds and strengthens local partnerships, provides community-based education, and expands access to respiratory health resources. While the primary service area is Strafford County, the Program Coordinator may occasionally support statewide initiatives, programs, and events.


Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement health education programs, primarily in Strafford County and neighboring communities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, healthcare professionals, community organizations, municipalities, and other community partners.
  • Deliver and customize educational programs on topics including asthma, COPD, youth vaping prevention, tobacco use disorder, and environmental health.
  • Support outreach, marketing, and community engagement efforts to increase awareness of Breathe New Hampshire programs and services.
  • Assist with developing educational materials, presentations, and training resources.
  • Track program participation and evaluation data to help measure impact and improve programs.
  • Represent Breathe New Hampshire at community meetings, health fairs, and other outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with staff on statewide initiatives and support organization-wide programs and events as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, health education, human services, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in program coordination, community outreach, health education, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Knowledge of respiratory health issues is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable engaging with diverse populations.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly throughout Strafford County and surrounding communities, with occasional travel to other areas of New Hampshire.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for community programs and events.
