I just wanted to tell you that my parents went on the cruise and LOVED it. My folks said that the food was wonderful, everyone was so nice, and they really enjoyed the music with everyone dancing. So, what does this day actually mean to these patients? For one day, they are not “that one with oxygen, that one looking bad, or breathing hard, or the one that gets stared at by children or adults with the tube up his nose. On this one day, they are but one of many-just like them-everyone is breathing hard, a lot of them are wearing oxygen, so it isn’t embarrassing, and they don’t feel “different” or less than the person next to them.
